Maria del Rosario Franco-Rahman is a daughter of Mexico, born and raised in Los Angeles.  A daily source of joy and sustenance for her is dancing at home with her 3 year-old daughter and husband. Her North Star is a loving, harmonious world where healing and liberation resound and we all flourish. Maria’s a facilitator, movement practitioner, consultant and soñadora led by her heart and ancestors in service to the coming generations.  

For the past 20 years, Maria has been part of the Movement to End Gender-Based Violence, centering the healing and liberation of BIWOC survivors, advocates, activists and our siblings at the margins. She is published in Traumatology as co-author of a healing arts model designed to support resilience and long-term well-being as well as reduce stress related to trauma for survivors and advocates. Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and is certified as a Yoga Instructor and Dance from the Heart Teaching Artist.

Through her own private practice, Con Todo Corazon, she offers heart-centered holistic healing services designed to support personal and social transformation. Maria has led and co-facilitated sessions at conferences and healing retreats internationally, across the nation and sovereign territories. Currently, she serves as Education Co-Director at Critical Mass Dance Company where she teaches their somatic healing arts practice at nonprofits, with a focus on designing and holding space for those of us who make up the Social Change Ecosystem
